Today, he channels that passion into providing top-tier sea taxi services in Hydra Island, sharing his love for the sea with visitors from all around the world.With decades of professional experience, Captain Manos has been operating the Nesõ Sea Taxi since 2014, ensuring safe, reliable, and fast boat transfers around Hydra.His extensive practical background is backed by top-level maritime education. He is a proud graduate of the historic Merchant Marine Academy of Hydra (AEN) and holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree (MSc) in Maritime Studies from the University of Piraeus (UNIPI).
As a permanent resident of Hydra, where he lives happily with his wife and children, Captain Manos knows every hidden gem and secret beach of his beloved island. Nesõ - The Myth

Nesõ is one of the fifty Nereids, the sea nymphs of Greek mythology. She is the daughter of the ancient sea god Nereus, himself the son of Pontus (the Sea) and Gaia, and of Doris, an Oceanid daughter of Oceanus and Tethys. Nesõ and her sisters were said to dwell with their family in a gleaming silver grotto beneath the Aegean Sea. Her name is associated with islands (from the Greek nēsos, meaning “island”), and together with her sister Nesaie, she was regarded as a protectress of islands and the surrounding seas.
